ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY:

This Acceptable Use Policy document, including the following list of Prohibited Activities, is an integral part of your Hosting Agreement with SaferHOST. If you engage in any of the activities prohibited by this AUP document SaferHOST may suspend or terminate your account.

SaferHOST’s Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) for SaferHOST Technologies Services is designed to help protect SaferHOST, SaferHOST’s customers and the Internet community in general from irresponsible or, in some cases, illegal activities. The Policy is a non-exclusive list of the actions prohibited bySaferHOST. SaferHOST reserves the right to modify the Policy at any time, effective upon posting.

Prohibited uses of saferhost systems and services:

  1. Unsolicited Mail
Sending unsolicited bulk emails violates the right of any private internet user. Emails are considered unsolicited if you don’t have a pre-existing relationship with the recipient or their consent. Unless the user has willingly provided their email address, do not blindly send emails to random addresses. If a user chooses to opt out of the mailing list, it’s your responsibility to take them off it.
  2. Message Source
Keeping your email source is a part of running a transparent business. You are not allowed to intentionally forge, misrepresent, or omit return addresses and message headers. A VPS eliminates the need for that.
  3. Offensive content
You are subject to the law when it comes to the kind of content you publish in your bulk emails. We are no longer involved in whatever your emails contain. Do not send emails containing the following:
    - Child pornography, non-consensual sex acts, and bestiality
    - Excessive violence or any media that incites violence or threatens the safety of the recipient (including harassment and hate speech)
    - What consumer protection laws deem deceptive like pyramid schemes and chain letters
    - Compromising the recipient’s health or inference with law enforcement
    - Copyright infringements and sharing of other people’s private property, intellectual or otherwise
    - Violation of export control laws, illegal activities like gambling, carrying unregistered fire arms, and illegal drugs
    - Otherwise malicious content that aims to threaten the recipient
  4. System Abuse
You cannot use our bulk mail services to disrupt our transactions with other customers. You cannot share accounts with other parties as they are intended for personal use only. SaferHOST’s security must not be tested or breached by any user because we hold a lot of sensitive information. Abuse of our system includes:
    - Attempting to gain additional services you did not pay for
    - Attempting to log into an account of another user
    - Attempting to retrieve other user’s information
    - Interfering with another user’s right to our services
  5. Email Abuse Complaints
We reserve the right to terminate our services with you if we receive too many complaints from your recipients. Therefore, you have to seek consent from your recipients and honor their requests should they want to unsubscribe from your mailing list. You must create your own privacy policy as guidelines for your own business as this is required by the law.

Copyright Infringement

Using copyrighted material in your bulk emails without the proper permission or licensing from the manufacturer or owner of said material is subject to your account’s termination. This includes the exposure of trade secrets and similar confidential information that needs the proprietor’s consent for publication. This also comprises of helping others to bypass technical copyright measures.

Resource usage limits

We apply traditional fair use limits on all our accounts. This is to prevent abuse and activities that may lead to the use of unpaid resources that we provide. Should you reach the limit of the services that you have availed, we will notify you to correct the situation.

Banned services

We make sure our users stay within the confines of the law. We do not allow abusive and irresponsible behavior that fosters illegal activities. This encompasses data collection, data distribution, use of our services, and any other activities done on the web that involve marketing and financial transactions.
